The Kennedy Tax Cut Lie

Rightwing Liars lie about everything. 

If a Rightwing Liar had the choice of standing on the ground and telling the truth, or climbing to the top of a burning tree to tell a lie, he would go up the tree without hesitation.

One of the lies that Rightwing Liars love to tell is about the John F. Kennedy tax cuts.  For the Rightwing Liars, if you want to defend your tax cuts, you talk about how Kennedy cut taxes and that makes it okay to do anything you wish.  Well, not exactly. 

Let's examine the truth about the Kennedy tax cuts - which is something you will never hear from a Rightwing Liar.

•  When the Kennedy-Johnson tax cuts were enacted, the U.S. budget deficit stood at $35 billion in 2003 dollars.  Today, the Bush junta is looking at a deficit of OVER $2 TRILLION.
   

•  Kennedy reduced the top tax rate from 91 percent to 70 percent and reduced the lowest rate from 17 percent to 14 percent.  The Bush tax cuts reduced the rate that the top tax payers pay to 38.6 percent, thereby shifting much more of the tax burden onto the middle and lower income earners.
   

•  This is the critical point:  At the time the Kennedy-Johnson tax cuts took effect, the post-WW II baby boomers were entering the work force, starting families, buying homes, starting businesses.  The baby boomers were starting to pour money, energy, and investments into the economy.  Today, as the Bush tax cuts take effect, the baby boomers are moving into retirement -- they are no longer producing and contributing, instead, they are starting to take money, investment, and employees out of the economy in the form of Social Security and Medicare and payouts on their pension plans and stock portfolios.

 The next time some Rightwing Liar opens up about the Kennedy tax cuts, shut his mouth for him - tell the truth and embarrass the dumb bastard in front of everyone.
