Rightwing Lies About Senator Obama:
He dresses like a Muslim

By now, everyone has either seen the photo or heard about the photo of Senator Obama "in Muslim dress."  Of course, I could be mean and ask "How exactly does a Muslim dress?" -- but that would confuse the rightwing liars because they didn't think to ask that question.

Let's check it out.  Senator Obama's father was a Kenyan, his mother an American; they were college students at the University of Hawaii when they met, married, and produced Senator Barack Obama.  Shortly afterward, they divorced and the father moved back to Kenya.

Many years later -- when Obama was around 45 years old, he traveled to Kenya to meet his father's family.  While there, he tried on a traditional Kenyan robe over his Western clothes -- someone took a photo and now that photo is being circulated on the Internet as "proof" that Obama is a radical Muslim -- because he dresses like one.

Here's the picture:

Looks like a "radical Muslim" to me, all right.  Of course, we should note that he needs help in holding the cane, and, he is wearing his Western clothes (chino trousers, red polo shirt) under the robe.

Meanwhile, let's check out what President George Bush is doing --

How about that!!!  Bush yukking it up with the Saudis -- do we need to point out that 11 of the 19 hijackers on 9-11 were from Saudi Arabia?  And -- this photo was taken while Bush was visiting Saudi Arabia where he did the traditional "sword dance" with the Saudis.  Can someone say "radical Muslim"?

Speaking of "dressing like a Muslim" -- here's our hero George Bush standing with the Muslim president of Egypt, Hosni Mubarak -- looks to me as though Bush is dressed EXACTLY like a Muslim.
