The Leading
Chickenhawks
These are the leaders of the gang of cowards who are sending American
soldiers to die for their lies, schemes, and theories.

George W. Bush
Born 1946, Connecticut
Avoided service in Vietnam
Thinks he is President of the United States
Twelve days before his student deferment expired, he applied for
admission to the Texas Air National Guard. In spite of the fact the Guard
had an 18-month waiting list, he was accepted the day he applied. One year
of his Guard "service is unaccounted for -- no records exist of his serving his
last year. Of course, G. W. Bush and his apologists point to the fact that
he has an honorable discharge. So does John Allen Muhamad, one of the D.C.
area snipers. Read his
complete disgraceful military record here.

Richard "Dick" Cheney
Born: 1946
Avoided service in Vietnam
"I had other priorities in the '60s than military service." -- Dick
Cheney, The Washington Post, April 5, 1989
Perhaps some of the 700-plus Americans who have died in Iraq as a result of
Cheney's lies had other priorities, hopes, and dreams, too. But they don't
count, do they Mr. Chickenhawk Vice-President?

I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby
Born 1950
Avoided service in Vietnam
I. Lewis “Scooter”
Libby is Dick Cheney’s Chief of Staff. He’s had a string of well-paying
government jobs in State and Defense. He’s also practiced law. In fact, he was
Marc Rich’s lawyer for years. Yes — the Marc Rich whose pardon from President
Clinton was excoriated by so many high and mighty Republicans. He
graduated from the preppy, upper-crust Phillips Andover in 1968 -- other young
men, not so wealthy or well-connected, were graduating from public schools in
1968 -- they were drafted and sent to Vietnam. Not Scooter. Another
Chickenhawk.

Karl Rove
Born 1950
Avoided service in Vietnam
This pasty-faced wimp is George W. Bush's brain. He is a political
genius; Karl Rove made G. W. Bush president.

Donald Rumsfeld
Born 1932
Avoided Korea and Vietnam
Secretary of Defense
Rumsfeld was 18 when the Korean War started -- the same age as
hundreds of young men who were drafted or enlisted and who died there. Of
course, they were not so fortunate or well-connected that they could get into
Princeton and hide out there until the Korean War was over, wearing an ROTC
uniform. Now, let's give Rumsfeld his due -- he did go into the Navy where
he flew fighters for four years -- four peace-time years, in the U. S.
Here is my favorite Rumsfeld quote:
"We know where they are (
Saddam Hussein's mythical "weapons of mass destruction ) .
They're in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south and north
somewhat." -- Donald Rumsfeld, ABC Interview, March 30, 2003.

Paul Wolfowitz
Born 1943
Avoided service in Vietnam
Now Deputy Secretary of Defense
Wolfowitz graduated from Cornell in 1965 -- funny, I served in
Vietnam with college graduates who were drafted when they completed college.
